If you’re a member of an organization like AARP, Navy Federal, USAA, or other valued Trust & Will partner, you may have access to a discounted estate plan as a part of your membership benefits. Not sure what the benefit includes or how to take full advantage? Then this guide is for you.
Here’s a clear breakdown of what your estate planning benefit covers and how to make the most of it.
What’s Included in Your Benefit
When you access Trust & Will through your benefit offer, you’re getting the same estate planning platform and documents that all Trust & Will customers receive, plus a discount on your plan. Here’s what that means:
A complete estate plan. You’ll choose between a Will Plan or a Trust Plan, both of which include attorney-designed, state-specific documents customized to your situation.
Your discount. The discount amount varies by partner organization. The discount is applied automatically when you access Trust & Will through the link provided by your organization.
Support at every step. You’ll have access to our Help Center, live chat, and email support throughout the process. For a full breakdown of the ways we support you, read our guide on every way Trust & Will helps you through the process.
What Your Benefit Doesn’t Include (But You Can Add)
Your discount applies only to the base cost of your Will Plan or Trust Plan. There are a few optional add-ons you may want to consider:
Attorney Support: For a yearly flat fee of $299, get a full year of 30-minute phone consultations with a licensed estate planning attorney who can review your documents and advise on complex situations. Currently available in 43 states.
Essentials Membership ($49/year, billed annually): This is completely optional. Your plan purchase includes 30 days of access to make updates. After that, Essentials gives you ongoing access to update your plan as life changes, plus digital safe storage for other documents, plus other features. If you decline to join, you still have a complete estate plan.
Deed Transfer Service: If you have a Trust Plan and own real estate, this service handles retitling your property into the trust so you don’t have to navigate it on your own. Find out more about our additional estate planning services here, which are powered by our trusted, customer-centric partners.
Whether your discount applies to add-ons varies by organization. If you’re not sure, email us at support@trustandwill.com and we can confirm what’s covered under your specific benefit.
How to Access Your Discount
Your discount is tied to the specific link provided by your organization. To make sure it applies correctly:
Start from your organization’s website, benefits page, or the email they sent you with your estate planning benefit information
Click through the Trust & Will link on that page
Create your account or log in through that link
Your discount should appear automatically at checkout
If your discount isn’t showing up, the most common reason is that the link wasn’t carried through to your checkout session.
Go back to the original organization’s page
Click through the link again
Proceed to checkout.
If it still doesn’t apply, email us at support@trustandwill.com or reach out via live chat. We can apply your discount manually so you don’t have to wait.
What About Payment Plans?
If the cost of your plan is a concern even with your estate planning benefit, Trust & Will offers flexible payments through Klarna. You can split your purchase into four interest-free installments at checkout.
What Happens After You Purchase
Once you complete your purchase, you’ll answer guided questions about your family, assets, and wishes. It takes as little as 30 minutes. From there, you’ll review your documents, sign and then notarize them to make your plan official.
Make the Most of Your Benefit
Your organization made estate planning available to you for a reason: it’s one of the most important things you can do for your family. The discount makes it more affordable, and the platform makes it simple.
