The Table Financial Planners is a boutique, all-virtual firm and proud XY Planning Network member. With two advisors and about 90 ongoing households, they specialize in serving military families, lawyers, and Amazon employees, many of whom are navigating financial planning for the first time.
Working with clients across the U.S. and around the world presents unique challenges. With the help of Trust & Will for Advisors, The Table built a scalable, accessible estate planning solution that meets clients where they are, both geographically and financially.
Before Trust & Will: Common Estate Planning Hurdles
Before integrating Trust & Will, The Table Financial Planners encountered several common estate planning hurdles.
As a fully virtual firm, they couldn’t maintain a referral network of estate attorneys in every state or country where their clients lived. Military families moved frequently, often purchasing property or changing residency, which created an ongoing need for updates. And for clients who were cost-conscious, traditional legal fees felt out of reach.
“We couldn’t have an attorney referral in every place our clients lived. We didn’t feel confident we could give consistent, state-specific guidance. Our military clients needed the ability to update documents often.” — The Table Financial Planners
Introducing Trust & Will for Advisors: A Cost-Effective & Scalable Solution that Removes Barriers
Trust & Will for Advisors’ subscription model offered a practical and scalable solution. The Table now provides access to estate planning for all clients, at no additional cost. This removes cost and logistical barriers, and allows estate planning to be introduced early in the relationship and revisited regularly.
For new clients
Estate planning is introduced during onboarding before the first “get organized” meeting. Even with a multi-month waitlist, clients can get started right away. A custom task is added to each client’s RightCapital dashboard with step-by-step instructions and a link to Trust & Will.
“The Table Financial Planning would like to offer you complimentary (yes, free) estate document prep through Trust & Will using this link. Most households can complete the process online. Optional attorney support is available for a one-time fee. After the first year, ongoing storage and updates are $39 annually.” — The Table Financial Planners
For existing clients
A two-part task template was added to the RightCapital dashboard, including a Trust & Will link and a reminder to fund the trust for clients who own real estate. A deed transfer partner resource is also included.
“Clients get started quickly. Some still choose to finalize with a local attorney, but the biggest hurdle—starting—is already behind them.” — The Table Financial Planners

Implementation Tips From The Table
For military and clients who relocate often: Highlight the benefit of secure document storage and easy updates, especially valuable for households that relocate often or acquire new property.
For clients on a waitlist: Introduce estate planning as a proactive, value-adding step during onboarding. Clients feel supported and engaged, even before their first full planning meeting.
To engage families: Encourage clients to share their Trust & Will link with spouses, partners, and adult children. Helping clients protect their family builds trust and deepens impact.
To inspire action through empathy:
“We tell everyone it’s important to talk through these things with your spouse or a trusted family member so they know how you want to be cared for if you can’t act on your own. You can have a significant impact on your heirs by giving them clear instructions and the authority to act.” — The Table Financial Planners
Support Your Clients Through Life’s Transitions
From deployments to relocations to major life milestones, estate planning is one of the most meaningful ways to show up for your clients. Let Trust & Will help you make it easier to start and simpler to maintain.
