On September 18, 2023, Trust & Will will be launching a spanish language resource, one of many initiatives aligned with our overarching objective of making estate planning more accessible to all Americans. This launch will be in time with our celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month (NHHM), or Mes nacional de la herencia hispana.
NHHM runs from September 15 to October 15 each year to recognize the contributions that the Hispanic and Latinx communities have made to culture, diversity, history, and other positive influences in the United States.
According to Forbes, the U.S. is home to the second-largest population of Spanish speakers in the world (Mexico ranks first.) 13 percent of the population considers Spanish their native tongue and speaks it at home. This is the most common language spoken other than English.
Businesses can make a positive impact by improving accessibility of its services and resources for individuals whose first language is not English.
With this in mind, Trust & Will is launching a Spanish language resource on September 18, 2023. This resource will feature an introduction to estate planning, estate planning basics, and a library of Learn Center articles — all in Spanish.
This resource is being made available in line with Trust & Will’s overarching mission of helping make estate planning more accessible to all Americans. The estate planning industry is historically exclusive due to its complex legal processes and terminology, as well as the high costs often associated with working with an attorney. This is true for non-English speakers, low-income households, and other historically marginalized and/or disadvantaged communities.
Trust & Will has placed a heavy emphasis on accessibility, ranging from an extensive library of educational guides and resources that help explain a wide variety of estate planning topics for all levels, as well as efforts to emphasize the importance of planning your estate no matter your background or status. Moreover, we would stand to argue that those who have been historically excluded from estate planning have more to lose.
By partnering with Trust & Will, you can rest easy knowing that you will have help and support every step of the way. Our estate plan packages are affordable, with different options to help match every individual and household’s unique needs and circumstances. Estate plans are built using our platform that is easy to navigate by answering simple prompts and questions. Chat support is available 24/7, offering support every step of the way.
